The SLD released wave 27 FY 2006 committing nearly $264 million and notifying almost 1800 applicants and over 1000 service providers about the status of their funding requests. The bulk of the funding letters were notifying 90% schools of their priority two requests. The SLD has committed $1,254,887,634 and has $1,846,507,937 pending in 2006 requests.
Three schools in Louisiana received FY 2006 Hurricane Katrina commitments this week including the Archdiocese of New Orleans which has been committed approximately $30 million in 2005 and 2006.
