On September 4, 2020, the FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau and Office of Economics and Analytics released the results from “the Supply Chain Security Information Collection, which was conducted in response to the Commission’s 2019 Supply Chain Order.” The results detail eligible telecommunications carriers (ETCs) who “have reported the presence or use of” equipment or services from Huawei Technologies Company or ZTE Corporation in their networks. Equipment from Huawei and ZTE was identified as posing a threat to national security in an October 2019 Order.
