As of April 17, 2020, 24,098 Funding Year 2020 Form 471 applications have been submitted. An estimated 36,000 total are expected for this funding year. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the FCC extended the original deadline to submit FY2020 funding requests to April 29, 2020, along with other extensions.
With less than two weeks to go before the revised deadline, it remains to be seen how many applicants will be able to complete the Form 471 process in timely manner. Applicants are urged to prepare and submit their Form 471 applications as soon as they can.
