On May 31, 2018, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) released several appeal decisions related to the requests for review, requests for waiver, and petitions for reconsideration of E-rate beneficiaries. The FCC dismissed 3 requests, granted 100 and denied 38 appeals on various grounds.

- Late-Filed FCC Form 471 Application – Due to Actions Beyond Its Control
- Late-Filed FCC Form 471 Applications – Unexpected Serious Illness or Death
- Ministerial and/or Clerical Errors
- Waiver of Appeal- or Waiver-Filing Deadline
Denials were issued for appeals involving the following issues:
- Invoice Deadline Extension Requests
- Invoice Deadline Extension Requests More than Twelve Months Late
- Late-Filed FCC Form 471 Applications
- Unjustified Service Implementation Delay
- Untimely-Filed Appeals or Waiver Requests
