On April 17, 2018, the Universal Service Company (USAC), released their annual demand estimate filed with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). USAC estimates the total FY2018 requested amount is $2.77 billion, of which $2.025 billion is for Category One services and $745 million is for Category Two services. The estimated demand for FY2017 was $2.99 billion. This estimate is based on the Form 471 applications received on or before March 22, 2018.
