On June 28, 2017, President Trump announced his intent to nominate Brendan Carr to fill the last open FCC Commissioner post. The Senate will hold confirmation hearing to confirm Brendan Carr and Jessica Rosenworcel’s nomination over the coming weeks. Brendan Carr had been the FCC’s General Counsel and was a former legal adviser to FCC Chairman Ajit Pai.
