On May 4, 2017, USAC CEO Chris Henderson stepped down after leading the organization since September 2014. In a response to Mr. Henderson’s resignation, FCC Commissioner Michael O’Rielly stated that he has not been pleased with how USAC has been managed nor accountable to the Commission. Commissioner O’Rielly stated absent “….significant and timely improvements, I believe that all options should be on the table, including putting USAC’s functions out for contract….”
