On June 9, 2016 the FCC Wireline Competition Bureau notified USAC that the FY 2016 Program Integrity Assurance Procedures (PIA) have been approved. This FCC action leads the way for USAC to begin issuing funding decisions for FY 2016 Form 471 applications that have already been submitted for review. The filing deadline for school applications was May 26, 2016, and the deadline for public libraries and consortia is July 21, 2016. The SLD has stated that it intends to release funding commitment decision letters starting as early as June of this year.
