As part of the FCC’s 7th Report & Order, the FCC set a target goal of September 1st for USAC to issue funding decisions for all “workable” funding requests. The SLD recently announced that they have a new target date to achieve this goal which is now September 24th. For FY2015 a total of 26,750 E-rate applicants requested $3.87 billion. The graphs below illustrates the current position of FY2015 total number of Form 471s by category, FY2015 Form 471s count by applicant type, and FY2015 Form 471s commited amount by applicant type.
To date, USAC has committed 31% of the total dollar value requested and 40% of the total number of Form 471s submitted. Funds For Learning will provide further updates as the September 24th date approaches.
