On April 29, 2015, Charles Benton lost his battle with cancer. Charles Benton founded the Benton Foundation and has long been a champion to ensure our communications networks serve the public interest and that our government’s policy decisions support access for all. Charles Benton has consistently advocated for communication policy decisions to be based on equity and diversity and played an active role in the recent modernization of the E-rate program.
