On June 28, 2013, the Universal Service Administration Company (USAC) provided the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) information on E-rate consortia as well as data tied to broadband connectivity in response to an FCC request. The consortium information can be viewed here, and the specific broadband connectivity data can be viewed here. Each service listed in the broadband data report is identified as either telecommunications or Internet access, and the report also specifies the product type listed in the eligible services list.
Commissioner Rosenworcel stated that one of her goals of E-rate reform is better data collection. The FCC has released an agenda for their July 19, 2013 Open Meeting in which they will discuss the release of an E-rate related Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM).
