Comments regarding USAC’s information technology (IT) modernization plan were due on March 22, 2013. USAC received eleven comments from a variety of stakeholders, including service providers, consultants, and IT companies. Suggestions made by commenters included:
Providing applicants and service providers the ability to file all program Forms online
Updating the online application process to be compatible with all popular web browsers
Creating an applicant “portal” through which E-rate information may be accessed and updated
Streamlining the electronic payment paperwork (BEAR/SPI) and notification processes
Providing more (and easier) access to funding request data
USAC will be accepting reply comments until April 12, 2013.
