This week the SLD notified the Puerto Rico Department of Education that they have been committed nearly $1.2 million for an FY 2006 E-rate application. The SLD has given them until September 30, 2010 to complete the installation, and until January 28, 2011 to invoice for the approved services. The territory still has $5.34 million pending for FY 2006 E-rate projects of which $4.87 million is for Internet Access and $474,033 is for Basic Maintenance.
The SLD has committed $1.98 billion in FY 2006 and currently has $236 million pending. Based on the last USAC Quarterly Report, the SLD has 125 potentially fundable application still under review for FY 2006.
