In a wave that nearly doubles the amount committed last week, the SLD issued over $40 million in commitments for 548 applicants this week. The majority of the amount committed this week–almost $26.5 million–was in the Telecommunications Services category. An analysis by Funds For Learning shows that some large school districts received commitments for their Priority One Form 471 applications in this wave, which accounts for the dramatic increase in Telecommunications Services funding over previous weekly waves.
