The Schools and Libraries Division has released details of two new funding waves for Funding Years 2008 and 2007 that have been released this week. The E-rate program administrator issued commitments totaling over $39 million in these waves.
The wave for FY 2008 is the second for the upcoming funding year and includes $28.6 million in commitments. This follows last week's wave of over $350 million in commitments. Nearly 1,000 applicants will receive funding commitment decision letters outlining the status of their funding requests included in this wave. As expected, there are no funding decisions for Priortiy Two funding requests in this wave.
For Funding Year 2007, Wave 49 brings over $10 million in commitments and $2 million in reductions or rejections for just 14 applicants. The bulk of commitments in this wave are in the Internal Connections service category.
