The Schools and Libraries Division has announced that on May 10 it will approve another wave, Number 18, totaling more than $74.4 million worth of commitments for the 2004 funding year.
This wave of letters will begin to notify applicants that applied for internal connections at a discount rate of 80 percent or below that there will not be enough money to qualify for the 2004 funding year.
With the latest wave, the SLD will have committed more than $2 billion for the 2004 funding year. Applicants who receive funding commitments for non-recurring services for 2004 on or after March 1, 2004 will have until September 30, 2006 to complete those projects.
