Year 4 E-rate funding commitments inched higher as the Schools and Libraries Division announced Dec. 12 that it had issued another $37 million worth of funding commitments for the year.
Wave 10 brings the total committed for Year 4 to $1.727 billion, or about 77 percent of the $2.25 billion that the SLD is permitted to disburse.There was no change in the approved level for internal connections requests. The SLD has deferred a decision on whether it will be able to fund any internal connections requests for applicants with discount rates of between 89 and 85 percent until it has reviewed more applications, including some that are under review for potential violations of program rules.
