The Schools and Libraries Division has announced that through Wave 16 of the program second year, it has approved a total of $1.383 billion in funding commitments. That announcement came the same day that the SLD announced it would be able to fund all eligible requests filed during the filing window for the second funding year, including those for internal connections down to and including the 20 percent discount band.
So far, the SLD has committed $438 million in discounts for telecommunications services, $85.8 million in discounts for Internet access and $859 million worth of discounts for internal connections.
