The Schools and Libraries Division announced Sept. 27 that it has made another $56 million worth of E-rate funding commitments, bringing the total committed in the second funding year to about $850 million.
That represents about 38 percent of the amount that the SLD has available to commit in the current year.
Wave 12 was one of the smallest to be released in recent weeks. The SLD is now engaged in reviewing the details of large applications, a process it hopes to be able to finish up in the next few weeks. Wave 12 involved only 800 letters to applicants.
