Each year, Funds For Learning conducts a nationwide E-rate survey to get a better understanding of how applicants view the E-rate program and in the 2018 survey results nearly 90% of respondents stated that the E-rate program is “vital” to meeting their school or library’s Internet needs. More than half of the applicants who took the survey expect to upgrade their on-campus Wi-Fi network over the next three years and 82% of the respondents describe lack of home Internet access as a significant issue in their community.
Funds For Learning already shared some of the key results of the survey with the policymakers at the Federal Communications Commission and will release the full 2018 Survey and Trends Report and share the results with the E-rate community next week at the ISTE Conference in Chicago.
