Congresswoman Roby recently sent the FCC Chairman a letter outlining concerns about small and independent cable providers ability to compete for business within the new E-rate rules. FCC Chairman Wheeler reminded Congresswoman Roby about the competitive bidding process and that applicants will need to continue to conduct a fair and open competitive bidding process and mentioned that “….local companies are often best situated to provide cost-effective broadband services to the schools and libraries in their communities…”
