On April 8, 2016 the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) released its 2015 Annual Report. The report provides the Federal Communications Commission and Congress details about the non-profit company’s activities, expenses, and performance measures regarding its management of the Universal Service Fund programs.
E-rate highlights from the 2015 report include:
- The average time it took USAC to process E-rate reimbursement (2015) forms: 6 days which is on par from 2014;
- USAC received 2261 appeals during 2015 (up 592) which is nearly a 74% increase from 2014;
- Average appeal processing time in 2015 was 83 days, up from 59 average processing time in 2014;
- USAC rejected 17.4 percent of the invoices in 2015 which is down 2% from 2014;
