On June 6, 2014 FCC Chairman Wheeler released a blog about his visit this week to Fairfax County schools. The Chairman discussed what he saw and specifically stated that “…schools need robust Wi-Fi networks. It is wireless broadband connectivity that changes the learning experience and opens new opportunities for students and teachers.”
The Chairman challenged the Commission to act “before the end of summer vacation” or risk E-rate reform slipping into 2016.
