6,159 applicants received FY2018 E-rate funding decisions on April 20, 2018. In total, more than $237 million were committed. This wave of funding commitments was released 72 days prior to the start of the funding year. This is the second earliest funding wave in the history of the E-rate program – only FY2000 has come earlier; and it includes significantly more funding for more applicants than any first funding wave since FY2014.
