The E-rate Management Professionals Association (E-mpa®) started in 2008 with five founding members, one of whom being Funds for Learning. Now the organization has over 25 members. The organization has evolved over the years, but one thing has remained the same, E-mpa continues to stand by its mission, “to promote excellence and ethics in E-rate professional management and consulting though certification, education and professional resources.”
E-rate professionals can receive certification through E-mpa. Recently, five individuals took and passed a rigorous exam, making them the newest Certified E-rate Management Professionals (CEMPs). That group consists of:
- Christina Bailey (Kellogg & Sovereign Consulting)
- Shaneka Bratten (E-rate Central)
- Alicia King (E-rate Central)
- Becky Rains (E-rate Central)
- Dirk Schroeder (Funds For Learning)
The full list of Certified E-rate Management Professionals is listed below. In addition to having knowledge and passing the test, the certification requires that individuals have three years of consulting experience, abide by a code of ethics and receive continuing education on an annual basis.
