On May 24, 2017, the FCC released a Public Notice announcing that they have enough resources to pay for every Category One and Category Two request that is eligible and compliant with the rules and regulations. The FCC has directed USAC to use $1.2 billion in unused funds to carry forward to use for FY2017 in order to ensure that they have sufficient budget to cover every request. With the FCC approval of the PIA procedures and release of this Public Notice, USAC has the authority to start reviewing and releasing funding waves as Form 471 applications are approved.
