On February 27, 2017, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) released several appeal decisions related to the requests for review, requests for waiver, and petitions for reconsideration of E-rate beneficiaries. The FCC dismissed 24 requests, granted 5 and denied 24 appeals on various grounds.

- No Service Provider Involvement in Competitive Bidding Process
- Waiver of Appeal Filing Deadline
- Waiver of Price as Primary Factor Requirement: Applicant Selected Lowest-price Solution
Appeals involving the issues listed below were denied:
- Failure to Conduct a Fair and Open Competitive Bidding Process
- Violation of the Competitive Bidding 28-Day Rule
- Invoice Deadline Extension Requests
- Late-Filed FCC Form 471 Applications
