February 26, 2015 is the last date that E-rate applicants can post a Form 470 for Funding Year 2015. Last year 1,016 Forms 470 were filed on the last date to start E-rate procurement for FY 2014.
In order to be compliant with the competitive bidding rules, applicants need to post an FCC Form 470 at least 28 days before the annual E-rate filing window closes. Because the deadline for the FY 2015 Form 471 application submission is March 26, 2015, today is the last date for applicants to post Form 470 that can be used to procure services for FY 2015. If applicants chooses to release an RFP along with the Form 470, the RFP must also be released today in order to satisfy the E-rate procurement regulations.
