It’s that time of the year once again: another Form 470 deadline has come and gone. In total, E-rate applicants across the country filed 35,124 Forms 470 for Funding Year 2014, 11.6% of which were filed within seven days of the deadline. Additional statistics for Form 470 postings include:
- The number of Forms 470 filed on the deadline day increased for the first time in three years:
- FY2011 – 1,249 Forms posted on 2/24/2011
- FY2012 – 1,146 Forms posted on 2/21/2012
- FY2013 – 971 Forms posted on 2/14/2013
- FY2014 – 1,016 Forms posted on 2/26/2014
- 16,527 FY2013 Forms 470 (47.1%) were posted after the Form 471 filing window opened on January 9, 2014.
- 18 FY2013 Forms 470 were posted on Christmas Day, and 39 were posted on New Year’s Day.
