It’s that time of year again: another Form 470 deadline has come and gone. In total, E-rate applicants across the country filed 34,671 Forms 470 for Funding Year 2013, 12% of which were filed within seven days of the deadline. Additional statistics for Form 470 postings include:
- The number of Forms 470 filed on the deadline day has declined for the third year in a row:
o FY2011 – 1,249 Forms posted on 2/24/2011
o FY2012 – 1,146 Forms posted on 2/21/2012
o FY2013 – 971 Forms posted on 2/14/2013
- 21,689 FY2013 Forms 470 (62.5%) were posted after the Form 471 filing window opened on December 12, 2012.
- 15 FY2013 Forms 470 were posted on Christmas Day, and 74 were posted on New Year’s Day.
