The SLD notified close to a thousand applicants and nearly seven hundred service providers this week about the status of their 2005 funding requests. In wave 26 the SLD committed $30.2 million while denying $19 million which brings the total 2005 committed amount to $1,132,861,098. The SLD committed $4 million for internal connections still at the 90% threshold and $533,000 for basic maintenance.
The SLD also sent out another small 2004 funding wave committing $43,000 to schools in New York. The total 2004 committed amount thus far is $2,289,955,808 with $251 million still pending.
