The SLD notified 4 applicants and 8 service providers this week about the status of their FY 2006 applications. This was a small wave and the SLD committed $1 million. In FY 2006 the SLD has committed $1.9 billion and has $420.4 million pending. On June 8th the USAC Schools and Libraries Committee recommended to the FCC to set the FY 2006 priority two threshold at 86%, however, to date the FCC has not acted on that recommendation and there is $53 million still pending for priority two requests at the 85% discount rate.
